Sudden earthquake last night

I was about to sleep when I noticed my bed shaking then my sister shouted that there's a quake. We were terribly scared at home. In the morning we learned the earthquake's epicenter was in Kibawe, Bukidnon and the intensity there was 6 and ours in the city 4.8. It's too far from where we live but we felt the tremor.
And then TV news said that there will be a strong earthquake coming God I'm so afraid of earthquake . Have you experienced quake in your country?

We experienced it years ago and I remember us saying our last prayers!!!! But we were spared from any harm.
Hoping you are fine.

@allknowing we have to resort to prayer. Prayer is a very strong instrument to save us from danger. Amen.

@RebeccasFarm , thank you my friend. There was an aftershock at 12 midnight but thankful, we were all in deep sleep and didn't feel the tremor the news said this morning.

That is scary...yes, we had a large one here about 12 years ago. The aftershocks seemed worse than the original quake. It is very scary when it happens when you are in bed.

@snowy22315 , that is true, it was like magic. It quaked in a matter of seconds but it was strong, unstoppable.

How'd you do during the quake? I worry. I am hearing about these happening all over and we have a big MAGA one right next door in Yellowstone. Scary.

@celticeagle, I was about to sleep. I was pn bed when I noticed my bed was shaking. I immediately laid flat facing the floor. My sisters did the same in the living room. They were watching TV.

Hope you are all ok! My area is known for earthquakes . . . I've been through many little ones and a couple big ones while growing up. We were at the heart of the one in 1994 - 6.8 but possibly higher they say. Please stay safe out there!!

@much2say , there was aftershock of the quake but it was at 12 midnight and we were asleep. We haven't felt the tremor and we thanked the Lord. We felt nervous about the scary quake. Yes, it was a matter of seconds but seemed like too long.

I am scared of it, too. I had a terrible experience with earthquakes. The strongest one was last year, If I am not mistaken. I was alone and I thought the whole building will collapse

@freelancermariagrace, it's scary indeed. The other strong quake was 3 years ago before the outbreak of the pandemic. I was at the university that time. I witnessed through my eyes the buildings swayer. God, that was so strong.
