Tensions between two countries India and Canada increased after Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau alleged that the Indian government was behind the fatal shooting of Hardeep Singh Nijjar (Khalistani-separatist). On June 18 this year, Nijjar was shot dead outside a gurudwara in a parking area in Surrey, British Columbia, Canada.
Indian government already declared Nijjar as a designated terrorist. Both governments send back high-position diplomat to their home country. India also suspended Visa services to Canadians. The bilateral trade talk is also put on hold.

I think it was an inter-gang rivalry. There were tensions going on between Nijjar's gang and his rival gang. A prominent person from a rival gang was killed and Nijjar was killed in retaliation. And in Surrey where he was killed, gang violence and killings are very common.
India has rejected the accusations and has demanded evidence to support the claims of Trudeau. So far, he has refused to provide any.

It is odd that Canada sticks its nose in Indias business.
