“Raindrops Keep Falling on My Head” is a song from 1969 sung by American singer BJ Thomas. The song was featured in the American Western “Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid”. The movie arrived in our neighborhood theaters in the early 1970s. I was in high school and my then-boyfriend was working as a movie theater usher. I was probably the only girl in Brooklyn who got to see this movie about four times for free. I had connections you see. However, having said that you cannot imagine how long it took for me to shake this song out of my head. Every time it rained there were special raindrop memories falling on my head. Many years down the line and long after high school every time this song came on the radio I had to smile and fondly remember those times and yes, I still knew every word of the song by heart.

@RasmaSandra No, I haven't but one day I'd like to. It's a real classic it seems.

I remember that song sung by the late B J Thomas since childhood since the song was played on the former Armed Forces Radio and Television Service (AFRTS) radio station a lot.

@RasmaSandra Sometimes the station would play military songs but never play anti war songs.

I liked these songs when I was growing up, along with "I'm singing in the rain." I used to sing it and mimick it dancing in the street as a kid, haha.
