Gloomy Weather Makes Me Gloomy

This afternoon, it started to rain heavily, and I took the chance to take a nap. The cool weather made me sleep like a baby. However, when I woke up, I suddenly felt gloomy. There is no reason why I felt this way. I assumed that I was just too lazy to teach online for the night. I need to push myself because we are not allowed to cancel classes online. Have you ever felt this way at random?

I never nap during the day because I always wake up with a headache and lazy.

I random feel this if I overslept. As for me, I need to take a nap in the afternoon to compensate waking up so early in the morning.

@LadyDuck I usually wake up at 4:30 AM, prepare my niece's lunchbox, and wake her up too. Then, I will teach from 6:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. I will sleep for about two or three hours and do other things during the day before having the classes at night.

@Shavkat I get up at 5 every morning. I think I will go to sleep early tonight, we walked a little more than 10 Km today.

I'm the opposite. The gloomier the weather, the happier it makes me. I love bad weather for some reason. When I take naps during the daytime, I make sure to limit myself to no more than 30 minutes. If I sleep any longer than that, I wake up grumpy and tired and unmotivated.

Honestly, I also like rainy days. During my school days, I am praying to have heavy rains. So that I will not go to school.

We are still in the midst of wet season so I guess these gloomy days are expected to be present every now and then. Despite we are in the midst of an El Nino weather phenomenon we still get a lot of rains. I think we can feel its presence when it is near summer were it would again be very dry and hot.

I agree. Sometimes the Summer Capital of our country usually experience monsoon rains. It is troublesome sometimes.

@Shavkat But compared to the rest of the nation, your place is considerably cooler. The weather in this area may be highly distressing because it can be chilly during rainstorms and then very hot and humid following.

Growing up, if it was rainy I would feel gloomy, but as I got older I don’t think the weather affected my mood much. Now when my blood sugar gets low, I can feel pretty bad, so I try never to let that happen.

I do think that you need to monitor your blood sugar level within the normal range. I only feel gloomy at random. Most of the time, I just want to have a movie marathon or sleep all day and night.

During this episode of my life, I just sit at my place and do coffee meditation. I usually do this while seeing my fur babies play in front of me.
