Between you and your spouse, who nags more?

My mother is a nagger. Growing up, I saw how much she nagged my father that I told myself that I would never be like that. It just left an imprint on me that I promised my young self that if the time came that I would have a husband, I would never be like my nagger of a mom. In fairness, she had all the reasons to be a nagger. My father was an alcoholic gambler, and his gamble of choice, cockfighting, made my mom nag more because she had to take care of his fighting cocks/roosters while he was at work. And fighting cocks/roosters require a highly specialized diet of special feeds and vitamins and stuff, which would eat most of our meager budget for a family of 9. Anyway, the picture above reminds me of the whole nagging situation.
How about you? Do you know what birds they are?

I am the nagger.
My mom is a nagger too, and same as you, I have told myself not to be a nagger, I understand how annoying it can be to be nagged. Well, though I don't nag my husband, as I know he doesn't like to be nagged, and there's nothing I would like to nag him, I keep nagging my children.... I still always remind myself not to nag my children and I understand how they don't like it, especially my teenaged boy, but sometimes... I have to remind them many times on a certain task they need to work on. Now what I have "improved" is that, I try to use a few short words instead of "long story" to remind them.

Usually neither of us nag, but sometimes we have to, and it's about equal. It's more just reminding, though, not nagging. I'm sorry your dad was irresponsible like that. I bet your mom didn't want to be a nagger!

My mom was a nagger as well, but she wasn’t too bad. My dad worked hard all day to support our family, so when he got home each evening he just wanted some time to decompress and relax. But of course my mom wanted him to immediately start helping with the chores, so that’s where nagging would start.

They look like a kind of kingfisher but I'm not sure.
No wonder your Mum nagged. I would have too I think, if I'd been in her situation.
