Well it does have ammonia in it lol. That's pretty disgusting though. I'd just use water if I didn't have any detergent. And if I didn't have water, I wouldn't even be able to wash myself so I don't think my clothes would be the problem then lol.

Don't forget, you can even use shampoo if you run out. =) It works, and it's better than nothing or pee. LOL!

Yes, you did heard right. Urine was used as detergent back in antic greek and old Rome Empire, but today it is used in some areas of world (primarly asian). Urea is good detergent. Also the smell is not the problem 'cause there isn't any. How??? nice, and easy by the way, first it's washing in urine, than in clean water, so smell dissapears. Also, urine is far the most best detergent 'cause it can clean (if given enough time) the worst staines, but today civilization just doesn't want (or like) to except that :D .

No it cannot be true. Instead some people drink their own urin to keep their system perfect. Its not that anytime or everytime they do so. There is a specify method to drink urin as mentioned in Aruveda. The accumulate the very first urin of the day early morning in a container that too of teh middle of teh stream. And then sip it slowly and steadyly. It works as health tonic they point out.

I heard somewere that cat urine will clear up acne. I guess it would with the acid in it. I really can't see myself washing my clothes with urine.

I just can't believe that would be true. If it's true then the people must be really really poor with no rainwater.

Anything is possible. The smell would make it obvious for the customer to not buy that product.

It was actually used in olden times mostly, i saw it on a program. It's good for getting out stains...and people actually had to stand it barrels of it and use their feet to mix the urine with the fabric...lovely...

That's pretty gross. It may be true though, because urine contains ammonia. I just can't imagine living in your own urine. And the smell would have to be just awful!
