Today is Friday the 13th. Are you superstitious?
The Social Security increase for 2024 will be 3.2%.
Over the past 25 years, 40% of Antarctica's ice shelves have shrunk. Ice shelves are huge floating sections of ice extending from the glaciers which are on land. The thinning of ice shelves allows ice on land to flow into the ocean more rapidly which accelerates the rise in sea level.
A Tampa, Florida father was found guilty of aggrevated child abuse, false imprisonment and neglect for locking his 14-year-old adopted son in an 8 foot by 8 foot box in the garage with a camera to monitor his activity. The camera recorded thousands of videos of the father abusing the son and then locking him in the box. What is wrong with people today?...and where was the mother?
A pride of lions killed and ate a group of rhino poachers in South Africa. Horrible but a case of instant Karma.
Breakfast - None
Lunch - Meals on Wheels - Roast beef sandwich, potato salad, yogurt and mixed fruit
Dessert/Snack - Donut and decaf coffee
Dinner - A piece of pizza

I can do with 3.2%.
I had two chicken salads yesterday….one at Chuy’s (chicken taco) and a BBQ/pulled chicken one at Corky’s in Pigeon Forge. Can’t decide which one was better!

No, I'm not superstitious.
That is terrible! I'm glad they caught the monster!
Good on the lions I say!
Yesterday I had:-
Breakfast - Alpen with blueberries on top and raspberries on the side.
Lunch - A banana and a packet of mini cheddars.
Dinner - Prawn layered salad, non-chicken pieces, vegan yoghurt and seaweed thins.

@LindaOHio We went in because they had BBQ on sign but none on menu except BQ hamburger. I asked the waitress and she brought another menu. It was mainly Mexican though. All good! I couldn't eat it all!

I am all for those lions and way to go against those nasty poachers, Is is another remake of The Lion King??? I had rice and chicken nuggets.

@LindaOHio I am glad the lions eat the Rhino poachers. Several lions had to be tranquilized before the anti-poaching team could recovered the remains. Well, this is not recent, it happened in July 2018.

Nope I'm not superstitious and today is just another Friday to me.
Any increase in Social Security is welcomed but wish it was more.

@LindaOHio I agree that inflation is greater than what the increase will be. It just keeps getting harder and harder to make ends meet.

I'm glad the father is put away for life.
I agree with you about the lions who killed and ate the rhino poachers. I don't know about Karma, but I do believe God brought justice to those rhinos.
Your food was good yesterday.
My food yesterday: Breakfast - Raisin Bran and a banana. Lunch - Cheese sandwich on Keto Hawaiian bread. Dinner - Hamburger with bun and Raisin Bran. Yes, I had it twice yesterday. Snack - Dove Chocolate Promise candy. I was well within my calorie budget.

Nice little jump on the social security, although I'd like to see the jump more tied to inflation. But hey, I suppose you just take anything you can get, right? If only wage increases were tied to inflation too. But of course, that would invariably just add to more inflation. It's a real conundrum, let me tell you. We're just stuck between a rock and a hard place and that's that.
For dinner last night I made breaded pork steaks and had salad and stuffing on the side. It was moist and delicious.
