Relaxing night

I didn't get home until almost 8 pm tonight! What was going to be a fast flea market run turned into a long afternoon! I ended up helping close up tonight at the flea market. The second worker in the office was not there and the one lady was bogged down with a line of people to check out. I notices a lady in line with a basket full of vases and candle holders so walked into the office and she asked me to please help her. I said that is why I am here! This lady was buying vases and candle holders for her daughter's wedding reception. I was curious, so asked her what she was going to do with all of them. On my way home my hubby requested that I stop at Dollar Tree and get him a plastic spray bottle for a project he plans on doing tomorrow. I did that and of course looked around. I picked out flowers for another arrangement for the antique store booth. I was going to put that together tonight but didn't get to it. I came in and called a cousin and talked to her for awhile and then grabbed a bowl of chili that I made before leaving the house for dinner. I topped it off tonight with some shredded cheese and it was delicious. I forgot to put cheese on top when I ate a bowl for lunch. What did you have for dinner tonight? Photo Credit: Public Domain

That sounds good too! I'll have to put that on the menu soon. Haven't done breaded pork chops or steak in a long time, probably last winter! The chili was awesome and will be better tomorrow when the seasoning settles in more! I thought I got it too spicy (man can't handle that), but it turned out perfect!

@kareng Chili, like soups and spaghetti, is always better the next day and even better the third day. Bon appetit. But yeah, it was a while since I made breaded pork steaks. They're really good. I need to make them more often.

@porwest I had planned to make chili last week when we first dipped into the 40's but something came up and we were not home which led to eating out. I am next planning on some homemade chicken and dumplings for next cold snap!!

Well, I don't know what I ate on the 13th... When I can't see, Pretty usually heats up something I've made and stuck in the freezer. Those are all foods we know I'll eat and like. Today for lunch, I ate two chicken strips, some mashed potatoes and a cinnamon roll. (I ate lunch at 6 pm.)

@kareng We get them once in a while at the expensive grocery store here in our city. That grocery store is also where we get the better cinnamon rolls we like so much. (The store used to be named "Ramey's" but changed it's name to "Price Cutter" and then raised their prices. We normally shop at Walmart because that's where the better prices are... but we "treat" ourselves once in awhile.)

I hope the lady found everything she needed for her daughter's wedding reception. I made chicken wings and hot sauce for dinner yesterday.

@LindaOHio That sounds good!! My grandson mixes Swiss cheese with Cheddar for grilled cheese sandwiches which is good for a change! I would have never done that on my own!!

@kareng It was pretty good. Hubs heats them up so the cheese melts a little bit.

I haven't had good spring rolls in years. We used to have a friend of my daughters who always sent spring rolls for every birthday party for her son. That was when she was married to her first husband.
