Hello to you all. I understand that photos are working now, so I've added one. Husband and I visited Warwick Castle today. He said he'd never been, and I hadn't been for almost 20 years. I didn't think it worth the cost back then, so was a bit reluctant this time. However, we were able to get a free ticket, my husband hadn't been before, and it was something different. I'm glad we went. It's absolutely amazing now. My favourite part was Falconer's Quest - a falconry show incorporated into a story. The birds are beautiful, and some get really close up. I wish my husband carried a camera as he'd said something about the look on my face when an eagle owl swooped passed and almost touched my arm. I know I was smiling but I think it was that excitable child look, in complete awe. The falconry was the first thing we did as there are two shows and we happened to get there in time for the first. We wandered about different parts of the castle and grounds. After a little over 2 hours, we'd worn ourselves out! We also realised that we'd only seen about half of what there was to see. We have said we'll go again, and would love to take our grandchildren if we get the chance. Afterwards, we went to a tea room. The castle is in Warwick Town centre so there is plenty of choice. This tea room is called Thomas Oken tea room. I think I'd been there before but not for a long time. That was really lovely, too. We shared our table with a suit of armour! We had sandwiches and cake which were delicious. We've had a very good day. My husband might not come up with ideas often, but it turns out well when he does How has your day been? :)

@pumpkinjam Great when something turns out so enjoyable. It’s the peacocks I’d be wary of. They emit such awful noises and disgraceful poop.

The ones we saw today didn't make any sound. I can't say I noticed any poop! I have been around peacocks in small enclosures on farms, and they are stinky!

Are these pictures of Warwick Castle? They are magnificent. I've always wanted to see the castles of England, Scotland and Wales. Sounds like you had a marvelous time. Have a good day.

Yes, they were all taken at the castle. The peacock was happy to pose The other pictures were from the top of a tower. I did take a lot of pictures. It was a lovely day. It was cold but otherwise the weather stayed pleasant for the day as well.

@LindaOHio yes, I live in England. I've never been to Scotland but have been to Wales a few times. The last time was in 2014 when I stayed in Cardiff and visited Cardiff Castle.

It is lovely. I like castles anyway, but most are ruins. I'm sure thus one is bigger than I had remembered!
