@rebelann In past years, we were just never home - we were out trick or treating ourselves! I'd put out a big tub of candy with a sign that says 1-2 pieces only. And kids were good about it. But when I took out the sign, that's when the greedy few take them all. I still want to have fun with it one year doing these things personally . . . but well, not this year. Ah, this was in a movie? I have no idea . . . but I do remember it from the 80s.

I don't blame you, it just isn't safe anymore for anyone to open doors to strangers. I'd been listening to Radar Love and thought I'd look up the band when I found this one, I wish I could remember the movie that used it cuz that's where I heard it before.

Hmmm, maybe put a bucket of slime on the top of the door so they'll get a head full??? I know, you really can't do something like that but you can pretend it did happen, right?

That happened to my mom the last time she bought candy for Halloween (she was 86) The next year I convinced her not to bother.

I don't buy candy at all so for me to buy for brats makes no sense ..... not that all kids are brats

@rebelann Besides, with inflation being what it is, who wants to spend a lot of money on candy for someone else? lol

There are some really good horror movies like Dracula with Bella Lugosi or the Mummy.

I don't even have anymore creepy stuff, I gave it to a friend of mine.

I've lived here 26 years and have never seen any trick or treaters.
