Crab Alfredo

Cooking crab Alfredo for dinner today and it's ready, just simmering on the stove. Not sure what to fix with it, maybe fried green beans. Can't believe I'm out of carrots, but I think the Alfredo dish will still be good. Dale and I just finished up grinding and packing deer burger to go in the freezer. I have a few packs left from last year that are still good, so I need to use them up. Maybe meatballs tomorrow. It's so beautiful here today, sunny and mild, just perfect. My hip is really bothering me today, but it will get better. Really so much to be thankful for. Hope you guys are having a wonderful day. I've learned to enjoy every good moment.

@Tampa_girl7 I bet Parmesan would be good, I just never think to add cheese.

@1creekgirl We find it hard to be without bread and milk. I try to have bread in the freezer but we're not fond of longlife milk.

@JudyEv We don't drink a lot of milk, so it's easy to run out or go sour.

Crab alfredo sounds delicious. Are you using real crab or imitation? I usually use imitation.

@porwest My husband and kids love crab legs, but I don't like them at all.

Imitation. I actually like it better than real crab. Yeah, I don't have a very cultured palate.

@1creekgirl I prefer real crab. But my wallet prefers imitation. And to my mind the imitation is just fine. Besides, I can't see wasting a real crab on an Alfredo, even if it would be delicious. Incidentally, I hardly ever eat real crab. Even if I am going for a crustacean at a restaurant, I will go for lobster before I go for crab.

I believe having cancer has given me a new appreciation for moments in life. Oh, I decided to cook sweet green beans instead of fried. I fried bacon, then added a can of drained green beans and some brown sugar.

Thanks, Linda. I've used shrimp or chicken for alfresco and sometimes crab and shrimp.
