Unsubscribed Emails that don't get unsubscribed!

I want to have a little bit of a rant, because I'm in that kind of mood at the moment!
I have been getting junk emails into my junk folder for a while now. There are all sorts of subjects, like insurance, or have you had an accident that wasn't your fault and stuff like that. But they all come from the same place. I didn't sign up for emails from this specific place.
So, there's a bit at the bottom of the email where you can click to unsubscribe. So I do this and it takes you to a page and the words "You are unsubscribed" are at the top of the page. Good you think, and go about your day.
But then next time you look in your junk folder there's another email from the same place. Oh, you think. That's OK. It probably takes a while for them to process the unsubscription. So I click on it again to show them I mean it about unsubscribing.
Next time I look in my junk folder, same thing again! This has been going on for weeks now, and even though it says "You are unsubscribed" the emails still keep coming into my junk folder! When will it ever stop?!

@sharonelton You’ll cope better when the plumber has been and you can get your clothes washed.

@sharonelton Redirect the junk Mail to the washing machine to launder it. Maybe your doesn’t have that function.

@xFiacre No, I'm afraid I don't think it has that function!

Yes, I will feel happier then! But it won't stop the junk emails getting through!

Just like junk mail in your real mail box, spam sent to your email is legal in the US.

Yes, but I wish they wouldn't come through at all! No, it shouldn't be permitted, after all I've unsubscribed 1000 times!.(Exaggeration!)

I have read that many of those spam emails that when you unsubscribe they are just confirming your email is valid so they can keep spamming you.
Happened to me many times ..I hate the junk mail..I get so much of it..
Now I just hit delete..there seems to be no solutions.

Just move the junk email into the junk email folder if it comes in your inbox. After you move it, that email address should automatically go to your junk email folder after that.

I see. Well, thank you for that insight. I'll just have to keep deleting.

Unsubscribing from junk email actually encourages more companies to send you junk email. After you unsubscribe from an email, that company knows the email address is live, so they sell your email address to other spammers. Stop unsubscribing from them and just keep putting junk email into the junk email folder. That's the best you can do.

Thank you very much. Yes, I've found that out. I don't even remember subscribing in the first place, infact I know I didn't!

It is really annoying but once you have unsubscribed they are breaking the law. You can report them to the information commissioners office.
Once you have unsubscribed try blocking them rather than directing to the junk mail. Hope that stops it?

@sharonelton I don't know what email service you use but there should be a drop down list that shows actions you want to take. Blocking is one of the features in the drop down list.

@garymarsh6 No, I don't think I have that feature. I'll have a look, but I don't think I have.

I don't know how to block an email, but I probably would if I could.

I'm sorry to hear that it's happened to you too.
Yes, it should. Maybe I'll ask my AI bot to help! (I jest!)

A lot of times when you unsubscribe, that is letting the company know that your email is valid. So they keep sending you junk. Good luck and have a good day.

Yes, somebody else said that too. I won't bother unsubscribing in future, I'll just delete the email like they advised me to do.

Oh no, that sounds really annoying! Those emails just keep coming, even after you try to unsubscribe. Maybe you can ask web experts for help. They might know what to do to make the emails stop for good. It's not fair that they keep bothering you like that!

It is annoying, but the person before you said he gets 500 junk emails a day, so I'm going to stop complaining!
