Middle East is a Ticking Bomb

The situation in the Middle East is to say the least very dangerous. The last war was fought in 1973 when the Egyptian army under President Sadat had crossed the Suez Canal and surprised Israel. However, the net result was that the Egyptian army was on its last legs when the global powers negotiated a peace and Israel gave up the Sinai which they had conquered.
This peace was broken by none other than a terrorist organisation called Hamas, which has been carrying out terrorist attacks for the last two decades. The fact remains that this terrorist organisation was allowed to thrive mainly by the United States which gave funds to the PLO which were transferred to Hamas.
This is very sad and Donald Trump had suspended these payments but Joe Biden restored them. So people can draw their own conclusions. The attack has been very vicious and close to 200 Israeli women and soldiers have been taken hostage. I think until the hostages are released, his war cannot end and it has all the ingredients of developing into a full-scale WW 3. This could well lead to destruction not only of Hamas, but their backers, Iran and Pakistan. I hope sanity prevails and peace can be restored..

I hope that the war between Israel and Hamas does come to a quick end.
