26 October - What I'm Thankful for Today

Good afternoon from rainy Green Bay, Wisconsin. It's been a good day.
I'm thankful for the six hours of sleep I got last night. I didn't need a nap and I've been going strong all day.
I'm thankful I have all my steps. I still want to use the foot cycle. We'll see.
I'm thankful for Canasta today. We had nine people, so three tables of three. I won on my table. I came from behind and was behind until the second to the last hand. It was a very good game. Close between the three of us.
I'm thankful for the crock-pot I'm using for the soup. I checked it when I got back here, and it's almost done.
Okay, that's my day. I'm going to get work done on Destination Love now before the soup is finished. I invited my friend from down the hall over for soup in a couple of hours.

I’m thankful for another beautiful day and that I got a lot done today , cooking, cleaning, a good long walk and I’ve finished my book about Hitler and all the atrocities he committed. A horrible man, I’m glad to be finished with the book. It’s sad reading.

@porwest It was and didn't take long to prepare thanks to my new food processor.
Oh, and the chili, I used fresh tomatoes and chopped them in the food processor. I gave a few bowls away and everyone loved it. It was the best chili I ever made. Using fresh tomatoes cut down on the sodium.

@just4him Man oh man, all of that sounds delicious. I was wondering because we just finished up a soup and I was trying to decide what to make next. I have a long list of potentials, but I always like to see what others are making and maybe add it to my list or bump something up on the list.
I really need to get some chili going soon. But that soup sounds delicious.

I'm curious about your foot cycle. I had something that might have been similar but it wouldn't stay put.
Is the pic your patio? Where you upstairs when you were in the last place? Even if you weren't I feel that your didn't have your own patio.
I guess that today I'm thankful that God has opened doors for me to make my books and find good teachers for that and putting together a website.

Yes, it can slide. It's on the carpet, though, so it stays in place fairly well.
Yes, that's my patio. I love it. No, the other place didn't have patios. I'm on the first floor that rarely has balconies, but I'm at the end next to the garage entrance, so I need a balcony on two sides.
I'm glad you have an open door for your books.

Glad you won at Canasta.
Even though I do not extremes in temps I am thankful it was an above average temp beautiful day here. Next week we'll be well below average and even calling for snow in the mountains around us. We'll be going from 80s to upper 30s-low 40s for highs.
