When did you buy your own personal computer / myLot

In today's world computers are used everywhere. People have been using computer from past two decades. The growth of IT industry also have been increased rapidly. IT sector also contribute to country's economy. People who have good knowledge of computer hardware and software are in great demand. Now it has become criteria that you should know the minimum knowledge of computer and how to use. So when did you buy your own personal computer. Do you still use it.

A friend of mine bought me my first laptop. That was in 1995 I think. I bought one on my own in I think 1999. It was a Dell of some sort.

When I was 25 years old, I bought my first laptop. I only used it for 4 years, and now I haven't used it for 8 years

I think I first bought a computer myself about two years ago--that I remember, and yes, I'm using it right now. I may have bought one before this one.

I did not know how to use a computer until I was nearly forty. We did not learn how to use them at school because nobody had them in those days. I still think that the old ways of doing things are better than having to do everything online . I would still rather use a pen and paper to keep track of everything rather than keeping all my details on some sort of gadget like a mobile phone or a laptop.

I bought my first personal computer while I was studying for my graduation . I needed the same as my main subject was computer science. Although intended for studying, the PC was mostly used for playing songs, games ,watching movies and was less used for studies. I sold the personal computer at 1/6th price after 3 years. I bought my first laptop after working three years and that lasted for almost 5 years. Well, now laptops are very much affordable for people.

Nowadays I use a smartphone a lot rather than a personal computer, the first time was in 1998 and at that time it was really very expensive because it was made of iron which weighed up to 40kg.

I bought my first personal computer in 1979, it was an Apple II and NO, I am sing a lot more modern computer now.
