Early to work, might be a long day here.

Good morning from this side of the planet. It's 7:45 AM as I write this post. It's cloudy outside but no signs of rain. I had a good walk to my work enjoying the cold breeze.
Wishing you all a Happy November. Hope the month is great for everyone.
It's our grand festival of lights, Diwali around the corner. It's on 12th of this month. It would busy time for next whole week with cleaning, decoration, shopping and cooking. Preparation before festivals can at times be overwhelming.
I came to work at 7, an hour earlier than my regular time. It's Parents Teachers meet today to review the bi- monthly progress and make new plans for coming two months. I have to meet 8 sets of parents in the whole day. I have finished with the first set of parents and it went well. They wanted an early one before leaving for work.
No one to one sessions with children today. I would be meeting parents the whole day. My next meeting is at 9. So, one hour at hand to do whatever I like to do. I will eat my breakfast and myLot for a while . I packed my breakfast as I was in rush in the morning.
It's a long day and I am working till 3 today. But I have some break between each meeting and I can be online in those breaks.
My whole weekend was spent in getting the reports ready and making plans to be discussed with parents.
I hope that all is going well in your myLot corner. I am not so much in online space these days as enough is there to keep me busy.
Have a good time. Stay happy and healthy

Nice to see an update from you after a long time.
Did you folks see how India got a massive win of 302 runs vs Sri Lanka yesterday!!
It was totally unexpected!!
Definitely, you have work, work and work for official as well as Diwali preparation.
We too have a lot but as of now the High pollution levels - the massive haze is a problem.
I feel irritation in eyes sometimes.
Schools are open offline and it is not good for kids' health.
Anyways have a great Friday and keep positive!!

Too caught up. And also not feeling the mojo and energy to that level. Ageing factor can't be denied with all hormonal things going around in a woman's body after 45.
Anyways, trying to do as much as possible and let go for other things. Elder daughter is coming next Friday for five days to celebrate the festival with us. That is cheering me up.
Yesterday I started watching. But after 4/1, I switched off the TV for a while. Then switched on and watched the last part. Could not watch the second half as I was busy with last minute preparation for today's meeting. And by the time, I got done to watch, match was over
My niece is eight years and every year around this time she falls sick with breathing difficulties and then throwing up. Air quality is really poor in that part. Bangalore is also catching up with all the pollution and construction work and cutting of trees.. My elder daughter is also having allergies more often once she has shifted to that side and in the last whole week her bronchitis has flared up due to this poor air quality. It's actually a gas chamber .
I just read that schools might get closed for some time. I think that now they will have longer winter break and short summer vacation there with this kind of air quality. Or maybe they can think of having online mode in between when it's extreme heat or bad air quality. The situation is pathetic.

Schools aren't quick to respond.
They still go by unorganised and traditional methods except for cosmetic changes like a more flashy Scholl website.
The ERP systems still need frequent updates in a manual way.
Recently Rohit Sharma's statement about the terrible pollution levels in Mumbai got a lot of headline.
English cricket team captain Joe Root said that it was so tough even to breath normally.
I wonder would some day cricket players would wear masks and play.
No Governmental announcements and actions are proving sufficient.
States keep on bickering amongst themselves.
Yet nothing concrete happens on the ground.
Not a good situation overall.

@aninditasen Yes, it does. She was here in June. But it feels like it's been long to see her. It's five days holidays at work and I am also not conducting any therapy classes at my centre. I want to spend the whole five days with family celebrating the festival.

@nela13 Oh! They do. It starts a week before Diwali and continues for few days after it is over. With all lights and decoration, the streets, malls etc look so beautiful.. And some don't take off the lights till the Christmas and New Year. They only change the decoration theme.

@arunima25 I didn't know Padma was an activist. I know she's involved with food and the Food Network and also has acted.

Yes. Right now, I can't imagine myself not working. But in a decade time, I would be there. It's lunch time now. I am left with the last set of parents. It's been long and tiring. I will need some rest as soon as I reach home.

Next weekend is our grand festival of lights, Diwali. I plan to do shopping and few other preparations this weekend. But won't overdo it..
It's past 10 PM and I am enjoying some quiet time. Plan to watch a movie. Today was a bit longer and tiring at work. I straight way went for a nap as soon as I get back home in the afternoon.
