I learnt something new!

I had never heard of a booty call guy until I read the post by @NJChicaa! I had to look it up; I found that “A booty call is traditionally known as being quite literally a call (or text) made by someone to another with a sexual request.” Well that seemed clear enough. But then I actually read the instructions on WikiHow on 'How to make a booty call'. And after the first steps of ‘meet someone at a casual place such as a party’ and ‘flirt and make light conversation’ it then goes on to say ‘Initiate the booty call. Text them. Keep it short and straightforward. Invite them over or ask if you can come over. Do not meet in a public space. For example: ‘Hey! What are you up to? Want to come over?’ Now that is not so clear, because a message like that does not include a sexual request, just suggests a friendly get-together. And suddenly a light dawned. Because in the past I had a lot of male friends (and still have most of them). And we would often meet up for a drink and a chat. But now I’m wondering – when we got together, did they think it was ‘a booty call’? All rights reserved. © Text and image copyright Fleur 2023.

No, your male friends knew better than to think it was a booty call. Hope you have a great day. Lovely flowers.

@Orson_Kart thanks for the link. I've kept a copy of it and will try to watch it tomorrow.

This is what usually men think. If you invite them, they always think it's a booty call.

If they were talking about a booty call, they would have suggested something after the two of you met up.

Such calls are totally new to me. I wouldn't entertain a booth call even if I were young.

Too funny to read this. Many have those thoughts in mind. Sometimes you know, sometimes you don't. Pretty blooms.

I doubt it. They probably knew better.

I remember the pop group All Saints singing about this way back in the 90’s. I don’t think I knew what it was before that but the song explains it pretty well. My favourite at the time was Melanie Blatt, and if I had her number I might have given her a call, if I wasn’t so shy.

I don't think so, or they would have let you know.
