One book that recently grabbed my attention is 'The Sanatorium' by Sarah Pearse. Imagine a snowy and isolated mountain retreat, a mysterious past, and a thrilling suspense that keeps you turning the pages! As I flipped through the pages, I found myself captivated by the atmosphere, complex characters, and a plot that keeps you guessing until the very end. Now, I'd love to hear from you: What are the best books you've read in 2023 so far? Share your recommendations!

I have not read much this year. I am on my fifth book and hope to finish sixth one by this year end. I liked the latest edition of The Speaking Tree. I always get their latest edition.

@wiLLmaH It's more of philosophy and spiritual growth. In the most popular newspaper, The Times of India, there is a small corner with the same name where such beautifully written pieces are published. It is very popular corner in the daily newspaper. I read it daily. In the last one decade, they have started compiling the best ones in the year into book.

I have read many books, I cannot say that there was one that I consider "the best" I have ever read.

I haven't been reading much and I always didn't finish the books I have started reading. I recently started to re-read the book "Atomic Habits" by James Clear, which I read last year but didn't really implement the habits building, hopefully this time I will build the good habits I want. I have read some parenting and educational books which are quite good too, but I guess this is the best book which is more helpful to myself.

@wiLLmaH Well, there are a lot of guides for parenting, even though we might have "chosen" that particular parenting style, and wanted to parent our children in a certain way.... reality might turn out to be different from our "ideal dreams". I wish a tool can tell me how to do when certain situations appear, and it really helps and can really be fit for this child.... Perhaps the first thing I need to do is... to set up my good habit system.

@kaka135 No matter how meticulously we plan a parenting approach, reality often throws unexpected twists our way. It's like trying to follow a recipe, but life decides to add its own secret ingredients! What's a "oops" moment where your 'ideal dreams' collided with the reality that it won't fit for a certain situation with your child?

It sounds cozy but exciting. I finished A spark of light by Jodi Picoult a few weeks back. It was a good book.

Searched on internet the gist of A spark of light by Jodi Picoult -- The book focuses on the father-daughter dynamic and the issue of abortion. Do you have any favorite genres or authors that you tend to read towards?

I read lots of books during a year, but once I have read a book I seem to forget what the title was or the author`s name. The best book that I read last week was a book called `People Person' written by Candice Carty Williams. It was about a group of young people who are half siblings but they did not know each other until they were teenagers and their father decided that they should get to know each other. Then a few years later one of them has a terrible problem with an ex boyfriend . She contacts her eldest half sister because she is desperate for help , then the half sister contacts the other three. This book was really funny in places and I could not put it down once I began to read it.
