Today's trip to the big Tesco.

We went to the big Tesco again today. I posted an order first in the post box in the foyer of Tesco's before I got rid of the soft plastic recycle and we went up on the lift. My Mum said she thought she'd forgotten her list, but she said she thought she could remember what was on it. I looked for a Leisure Painter magazine again but still couldn't find one, so instead I got a box magazine which had stamps, dies, a stencil, an embossing folder and papers and toppers which were stapled into the middle of the 48 page magazine. (I didn't know that till I got home!) We went round the other side of the isle and Mum saw these Christmas tablecloths that were reduced to 70p, so she got one! Then I got some seaweed thins, some Love, Corn, 2 bottles of water and 2 prawn layered salads. Then we went to get a wedding card for a friend from Church who is getting married on Saturday. There were several to chose from, so I got 4 of the best ones and gave them to my Mum to see which one she liked best. Once we had chosen a wedding card, I went to get some pads for my Mum. After that we went to the fruit and veg section, and I got blueberries, spring onions and rocket lettuce. My Mum got a lettuce aswell and she went to get some bananas while I got some lemons. They still didn't have any strawberries. I went and got my yoghurts, and then went to get Mum's milk but I couldn't see where it was because they moved it! I found it eventually but before that I was looking at the organic milk! Then my Mum got some puddings for Sunday. I got some Lurpack lighter for my Mum. Then I went to the vegan and ready meals isle. I got a vegan sweet and sour thing for dinner for Saturday before we go to the wedding because Mum said she wasn't going to be doing our usual fish in batter that day. I got another brand of meatless bites instead of the chick'n'less bites I used to have and the ones I've been having more recently which I didn't like as much. They didn't have any creamy mushroom slices so I had a spicy vegetable pasty instead. I hope it's not too spicy. I got some vegan mac and cheese and a vegan cauliflower quiche again. Mum got her own ready meals. Then I got some olive oil and Mum got some mayonnaise and sea food sauce. Then I went and got some linguine. Then we got some sardines and vegetable soup for my step-dad. Then we went to the cakes. I got some of my mini vegan cakes and Mum got some cakes for her and my step-dad. Then we went to get some crisps. I went to get the pringles and Mum chose Mini Cheddars for my step-dad this week. Then I got my Matcha green tea T-bags again, and I asked Mum if she wanted coffee because I remembered washing up the old coffee jar. So my Mum said yes, and said how convenient it was that we were stood right by the coffee! I also got custard cream biscuits for my step-dad. Then I went and got some Alpen cereal with no added sugar for my Mum. And then we went to the frozen section. I didn't get any vegan magnum ice lollies because it's getting cold now. But I did get some not-chicken pieces and some raw king prawns. I looked for some frozen diced onion, but they didn't have any. I'm really rather running out of onion, so I said I'd look for some in Iceland (the shop not the country!) on Friday. My Mum got some frozen stuff, some jacket potatoes and waffles, and then we got some cod in batter. I went and got some toilet paper for my step-dad while Mum was still looking at the frozen stuff. Then we went to pay. My Mum went and sat on a bench while I put everything on a conveyor. A lady came up behind while I was doing that with only a few things. After a while she said, I could be paying for these while your doing that, and I said, yes, you could. So I let her passed. She was in a wheelchair, so I moved the trolley to the side a bit so she could get passed. By the time I'd finished putting all our stuff on the conveyor the lady had finished paying and was just about to leave! The groceries came to just under £130. My Mum had some coupons and vouchers to use too. I had to ask for the double points voucher back because it can be used twice and this was just the first time she'd used it. By this time it was already 4:35pm, so I quickly swapped my book at the Tesco book swap, and we went down on the lift. My step-dad was already there waiting for us of course. It was already getting dark when we drove home. When we got home we unpacked the groceries and put them away. Then I had my dinner and watched the telly. Later I washed up and put my fish out for tomorrows dinner. I watched some more telly and had one of my little cakes. I had some grain coffee before I came to bed. What have you lot been getting up to today? I hope you are all well. Have a great night.

@sharonelton I’m painting skirting boards today. I started yesterday but the paint is darker than the sample on the can and that’s disappointing. The colour is called hessian and looks quite light, but in reality it’s more like strong cappuccino, so I’m starting again.

I hope you enjoy painting skirting boards! Yes, it is disappointing when the paint isn't the colour you were expecting it to be. Yes, if you get cappuccino and you wanted hessian maybe it's best to try again. It didn't go lighter when it dried?

@xFiacre Do you still think it's too dark, or are you satisfied with it as it is?

Thank you very much. Well, I do my best. The meatless bites were a lot nicer than the other things I've been getting since I couldn't get the chick'n'less bites. Thank you very much. You have a nice day.

I went to the grocery store this morning. Didn't need too much this week which was nice. Made the trip shorter. We got home a little while ago from our mid week service at church, we are studying through the book of Psalms. Watching some television now before we call it a night. Have a good evening.

I hope you got all that you needed when you want to the grocery store. I'm glad you didn't need much which made the trip shorter. We like the book of Psalms. I also like Ecclesiastes and Song of Solomon. My favourite verse is Song of Solomon Chapter 2:1 "I am the rose of Sharon, the lily of the valley." I'm watching Homes Under the Hammer again now!

I need to go shopping later. It's annoying when they move things around to different aisles isn't it? Have you considered just buying some onions and chopping them up yourself? And how about a subscription to your painting magazine? It's usually cheaper to subscribe, if you planned to buy it regularly anyway. And then you can be sure of always getting a copy. I found this:

Yes, it is annoying when they move things around! I've done the cutting up of onions! It takes ages and makes my eyes water! Well, even the spring onions make my eyes water! That's why I started getting frozen onion. Thank you very much. I was considering getting a subscription but I'd prefer to pay by cheque.
