Sense of Self

They claimed that living overseas encouraged individuals to reflect on their principles and determine what matters to them rather than blindly accepting the beliefs of their friends and family. This is what I went through during my year-long absence in Tajikistan. If you wish to have a more distinct feeling of who you are, should you spend brief stays in several other countries?

Personally, I don't think it would necessary to stay in other countries to find out who you truly are. Just my opinion.

You are right that it is possible for not traveling to a certain place. It happens that I was able to grab the chance of knowing myself overseas before.

Not necessarily... The US is a huge country and exploring it can give a person a true sense of themselves, just like living in another country can. One of these days you'll make a trip here and see what I mean.

I am sure if I go to your state, I will be like an "eager beaver," too. But, it would be a great adventure for me to ponder.

@Shavkat It's interesting going different places and learning new things... I'm sure we'd enjoy ourselves if you came to the US.

I can feel you with this matter. My overseas life has been good experiences to me. Whenever someone asked me about it, it is always a never-ending stories. I had learned so many things about me at that time. It was a medical mission that I had touched a lot of individuals in that country.

That sounds logical to me. Some can become very narrow-minded and parochial if they never travel at all.

I agree with you. Some people who did not travel seem so unpredictable for not understanding the importance of knowing other people's cultures and practices.

I would rather try to find what my purpose in life is at this point.

I must admit that I was lost with my real purpose during the pandemic. Now, I am trying to pick up all the pieces to carry-out my worth in this world.
