I'm hard to fit. size 0 - 1, and short. How come these size pants are made for people 6 feet tall?!?!?! I have like 10 inches or more after my feet end!
Anyways, what I mean to say is.. Know what's funny? I find more clothes at thrift stores that fit me off the rack and are better quality than I can find at the mall! And it costs just an nth of the price! I have 2 stores I go to for clothes, but I like to hit all of them for "neat stuff"! Aloha!

Actually, i work at Goodwill. There is nothing wrong with shopping at thrift stores. Like they say, one man's junk is another mans treasure:)

Yes I do shop there. I have two kids and sometimes you can find some really good stuff for cheap there. I also look for stuff that I can get and resell for a good price.

I shop at thrift stores and yard sales. I am also big into ebay. For me it is the thrill of the hunt I get a rush when I find stuff cheap and I love to transform junk into something good. I also am unemployed so I still get to shop even when on a budget. It is also nice to recycle that way we are not adding into junk piles.

I never thought of that, it would be fun to do that and maybe even make some money . We all know that we all need it.

If you like transforming old into new and you're unemployed, maybe you should try doing it for profit. It would be fun for you and help with everyday living expenses. Just a suggestion!

oh yes... I love thrift stores...a bargain is a bargain no matter where you find it. I found a set of four tupperware plates for $1.50 and resold them on ebay for $38.00, at the beginning of the year I plan on doing it full time and dh is going to join me around june...I also bought a windows 98 special edition disc new in box at a thrift store came home and listed it on ebay and it went for around $30 so there is money in it...

I like to go to thrift stores to buy clothes for my daughter. She grows so fast that it seems like a waste of money to buy brand new clothes when she can only wear them for a few months. I also like to look for tesserrae (materials) for my mosaics like china and bases. One man's trash is another man's treasure, right?

I do! Thrift store shopping is great because:
1. It's cheap.
2. You can find great antiques that people just tossed.
3. You can find nice clothes.
4. Great for those of us who LARP (live-action role-play).
5. Great gift ideas -- maybe not the clothes...
There are also the listings for Free things that people need to give away before they move:
Craigslist
Any college site run by students. For instance, the Wolf Web for NCSU.

Thrift Stores, Ebay, anyplace that I can find a good bargain. In my house we are big on saving money as well as being enviromentally friendly. By shopping carefully at such venues, I save a lot of money, managed to keep my family and home well drssed on a shoestring plus am recycling the products for another round of uses and keeping them from filling up a landfill some place.
As I tend to buy in big lots on ebay or when they have special promotions at the thrift stores, I usually managed to not only accomplish the above listed goals, but I sort through the lots I buy, taking out the best for my family to use, and re-sell the rest back onto Ebay...same end result once my family outgrows clothing etc...
My husband laughingly tells people, "Most people lose money when they start having kids, my wife turned the experience into a profitable venture" lol

Yep. Especially for the kids, they outgrow clothes so fast. I'm so lucky my older girls aren't "brand" conscious. They'll search through and look for stuff they really like. I've found some really good thrift stores(not here) with clothes that still had tags on them. Once in awhile I'll find something that I can sell on ebay.

There are some really great deals and items at thrift stores. It depends if you want to invest your time in looking for them. There is this one chain of thrift stores in my area that have bargains throughout the week. Monday's is very popular. It's half off everything in the store! It's already a thrift store, yet they can still have this kind of bargain. It's just great!
