Soon as I figure out or read where it may be about photo issues, I'll share the Palouse falls photo and a Lyon's Ferry photo from my day trip today.
After we went to Palouse Falls, we drove down to the Corps of Engineers Fishing Hatchery and on over to Lyon's Ferry, a 168-acre day-use park where the confluence of the Snake and Palouse rivers meet. The ferry operated from 1860 to 1968 and then was replaced by a bridge.
You can see parts of the landing dock and cables still stretch across one section near shore.
This was once home to the Palouse (Palus) Indian Village and was documented by Lewis and Clark. This park is operated by both the Army Corps of Engineers and Washington State Park.
My next trip will be out to Potholes.
