Do you wear slippers?

Since, I should have some cash and or giftcards coming to me after Christmas, I decided I really need to get some new slippers. I can see my toe poking out of these that I wear everyday. I don't like them that much anyway. They are comfortable,and warm but shapeless and ugly as all get out. I remember I got them from Ikea, a few years back and thought they looked warm, and were only 6.00 so I thought what the heck? Hopefully, slippers will be on sale after Christmas and I can get something more to my iliking. I need to find my other mukluk in the meantime.

Yes I wear slippers and mine currently have the same toe poking through as yours. I'm hoping Santa leaves a new pair for me under the tree this year.

What is difference between slippers and house shoes? Usually when people say house shoes they mean slippers.

@snowy22315 Well, we make a difference here. Slippers are "open" behind, house shoes are shaped more like shoes, but made with light material with a soft sole. I show you a photo to explain better.

These floors are cold in the winter,as I have laminate instead of carpeting. YOu need something warm on your feet.

@Tampa_girl7 Yeah,sometimes mine get cold when I get into bed..I keep my socks on until they are warm, orwrap them in the electric blanket.

@TheHorse 25F is pretty cold everywhere I think,,,unless you live in Fairbanks or Nome, or maybe the upper Great Plains...or in the mountains.

I wear the doctor slippers at home as I have flat feet. I use the toe socks along with slippers in winter.

I hope so, I sure wish they still had Payless shoes. Everybody and their brother wants a fortune for slippers. They shouldn't cost as much as shoes.

@Dena91 Walmart here has expensive slippers. Some body said Payless exists online. I will check. Also I know where there is a Marshalls. They might have a deal.

@snowy22315 No they shouldn't. 2 of mine I bought at a fabric store at buy one get one free and I think that they were like 5 or dollars. The other pair I think I got at walmart and they were under 10 dollars.

I wear my flip flops are year around. I hate it when my feet sweat. Hope you find a good sale. There are lots of them right now. After Christmas should be even better. Have a good weekend.

I really only wear them in the Fall, and Winter..maybe early spring. I prefer being barefoot.

What is mukluk, I have never heard of this before?
My comfy old slippers sound like yours, they have lost their shape and there is a hole in the toes. My big toes have always stuck up for some reason and new slippers soon get holey because of this.
I always wait until after Christmas to buy anything new that I need because things are less expensive then. I think that a lot of shops put their prices up before Christmas because they know people will buy certain things as Christmas presents.
