Its Pouring and cold this Sunday

Very good morning wherever you are, hope this Sunday finds you enjoying relaxation! We had a very busy day yesterday, preparing for a few days indoors. The rain started early this morning and the temperature will drop to -2C (28F) by this afternoon with rain and sleet forecast for tonight and tomorrow. Lucky for me, I found some thermal socks, so that will help. Its odd to have warm feet and cold knees. We finished the washing, got everything dry and cleaned house. We did a long walk yesterday, went to the supermarkets for bread and milk and some other odds and ends. We don't need to do market until Tuesday at least, so all things good is already in our home. Finished the two wreaths yesterday, one small and one larger. The small one is hanging in the kitchen area and the bigger one (my image here) by the front door to bless our home with a breath of colour on these grey days. Got the pine cones open eventually. Good thing I did not use our oven for baking or bread ever, it only has one setting - which is warm, like maybe 100C. So perfect for pine cones, but not for much else. Still busy making the little Xmas tree and those decorations. I don't have a pot to cook pine tar down, so had to go buy glue for some of the decorations, which will hopefully be the only bought thing we will need to have a natural Xmas decorated home. Food wise yesterday was a foray into a Polish pasta dish with cabbage and carrots and it was really nice. Music we did not have time to really get into, was a mish-mash sort of thing. Today I'm on the Nordic side of things again, must be the weather so Forndom, Wardruna, Munknorr and a few others will invoke the quiet stillness of the snow forests in our home. I don't do Black Metal - too much anger and screaming there, but sometimes I do like Solstafir, even though I don't understand a word. Food today is a potato, pumpkin and marrow stew with mushroom pilaf. I'll also cook a pot of soup for the next two cold nights, probably mushroom and kasha soup but with potatoes instead of carrots. Also this afternoon, I'll try my hand at cookies on the stovetop in a normal frying pan. Hopefully that does not fry my brain Hope you are mellowing into your day and wish you a very relaxing Sunday
