To admire

Chile

This afternoon I was thinking for a long time about the people who dress up as Santa Claus for Christmas. It is already summer here and temperatures could easily reach 30 degrees Celsius. I look at them and it's hard to imagine how hot they must feel and that they have to endure it, because it's their job and they have to look happy for the children. I find them admirable. I take my hat off to them. They choose exhausting but honest work. I say that the more difficult something is, the sweeter the feeling of having achieved it.

The Santa Claus tradition was born in cold countries, hard for those who live in a hot country during the Christmas time.

@Yoshi1810 I have so much the habit to cold Christmas, that I did not enjoy the year we spent Christmas in a hot country.

@LadyDuck The truth is that it is not very pleasant to spend a Christmas in the heat. All you imagine is snow and hot chocolate. On the other hand, here we must do the shopping, put up the Christmas tree with heat and drink very cold drinks and ice creams and look for the shade.

I agree with you that any honest work is admirable. For a long time I had a youngster as a gardener. He was the youngest and only son of my maid. She came on Saturdays to my home and dreaded to leave him alone with the kind of teens that were in her neighborhood. He learned a lot at my house, not only about gardening but also about table manners and pronounciation. Now he is a grown man and has a well paid job. He is still studying to get better jobs later on in life.

The effort of that mother and of you to ensure that this young man emerged well is very admirable.

Hello, yes it is already summer. White Christmas doesn't exist around here, only Christmas Eve with cold drinks, lol.

Hello and welcome to myLot, whoever invented Father Christmas costumes was not thinking about people who live in hot countries.

Yes, you have to appreciate the guys who dress up as Santa, especially in hot countries where they must be sweltering hot in that costume.

I hope the Santa costumes in warmer climates aren't as warm as they are here.

I think it's a difficult thing to happen. The heat has already arrived.
