Here is a story with some great characters who all have their own secrets , from their pasts and in the present. The main character is a man called Elliot who has made his way out of his childhood poverty to become a primary school teacher. He is married to a woman called Anya who comes from a wealthy family. Elliot often feels that he has married above himself and he seems to be going through life worrying that has wife will leave him. He does not tell her the whole truth about his humble past because he thinks he will lose her.
However, Anya is not that squeaky clean herself. She may have wealthy parents who dote on her , but she has things hidden in her past too. As the story unfolds, we meet another character Irene, who is the mother of two sons who both appear to be missing.
Throughout the book we see how Irene`s story is linked to Elliot and Anya even though they have never met her before.

I borrowed my copy from the library, but you could probably buy it online. It was written a few years ago now , so you might find a copy in a charity shop or a used bookstore.

@lazydaizee Mostly Psychological Terror, and I think I am reading the Woman in Number 19. It is of that ilk.

@lazydaizee Even I enjoy such books and movies. It keeps you glued till the end. I like it when things don't go on expected lines in a book or in a movie.

I love stories like this too and I find it hard to put the book down once I start reading it. I love it when there are lots of twists in the story and it does not work out the way I thought it would.

This would make a good movie, but a lot of people may find some of the scenes upsetting.
