When do you take down the Christmas decorations?

I usually take them down right on Christmas night after I've gotten back from dinner. At the latest I do it on the 26th. Today I just couldn't force my way to do it. I will put them away tomorrow. I don't have a lot of space here. While I'm not a minimalist and I don't have an issue with having "stuff", things get tight when the Christmas decorations come out too. So everything will go back into the storage containers in the 2nd bedroom until next Black Friday when it is time to decorate again.

For us it depends on when we have our actual Christmas gathering and whether we are hosting, which lately we tend to host Christmas and my sister hosts Thanksgiving. Last year we had Christmas on January 14th. This year we will have it on the 1st. We'll usually lose the decorations about a week or two after we host.

Normally the first week of January. But, with George in the hospital, we didn't decorate the house for Christmas. We still have the Halloween stuff out, because I can't get on a ladder.

Here. the apartments only allow decorations like lights on windows and stuff for 30 days..
But anyway, for the tree, I keep it up usually til my bday at least, just past the middle of January.
