A report has been filed that a Tesla factory robot allegedly attacked a factory worker in 2021 and left him with an open wound on his left hand. The worker was pinned down by the robot; and a colleague had to press the emergency stop button to free him. The robot was designed to handle freshly-cast aluminum car parts. The Texas plant shows a higher rate of injuries compared to the industry average. There have been at least 41 workers who have died in robot-related incidents. It was not stated whether this was in the United States or worldwide. What are your thoughts on this?
The PowerBall jackpot is up to $760 million.

Something doesn't sound right about that 'accident' with the robot.
Until 2012 my hubby worked at an assembly plant where they had a robotic arm.
They had it since the late 80's and there was never any issues with it.
It was only an arm, and obviously in a fixed and permanent position, maybe that is the problem with a robot as it could be more mobile.
But the thought behind it is in the programming. Who is responsible for that, and why was there not a kill switch available for the worker or a co-worker, to use for safety? It makes me wonder............
Yesterday, day 3 of the bug, I had a dish of chicken noodle soup for lunch and a small amount of chili for supper.

I hope to hear more about this case in the near future...or cases such as this one. The coworker did press an emergency stop button. I'm glad you were able to eat something. Do you think you'll go to work tomorrow?

@LindaOHio Yes, this is an intriguing case, I hope that there is more to come also.
I am trying my hardest to regain my strength and health in order to work tomorrow, only time will tell.

@MALUSE Spanish rice is a dish. It is made with regular white rice. You melt some butter in the pot and cook onions, celery and garlic (at least the way I make it), then you add the raw rice and brown the rice. Then you add in salsa and water and boil it until soft.

My mother used to make Spanish rice. Haven't had it since.

Wow, not sure what to say on that, the first thing.
The powerball would be nice to win, of course!
Sounds like interesting meals. I had pizza yesterday too

@MommyOfEli2013 Sorry you didn't win the Switch. We may still play the PowerBall when it gets higher. We won't win either.

@LindaOHio Doesn't really matter to me as I know I wouldn't win, so I won't try lol! Couldn't even win the Switch for Eli and that was better odds.

Have a super day!

@LovesEverybody I think one of the billion dollar jackpots was won by a single person. I would donate a lot of the money.

@LindaOHio was it one person who won the billions or a group of people? I told my sister once I didn't play the lottery because if I won I wouldn't know what to do with a million dollars. She says she would find me something to do with the money!
Once my sister and her then-boyfriend before they married convinced me to buy a $1 ticket back in my college days in the early 90s and I lost. I never got over that $1 lost and I never once played again. Did I mention I am known as cheap? =)

Well, that is certainly scary! It seems that after a time, robots are able to teach themselves how to do things..not necessarily reliant on their programming. That in itself is a scary thought.

Advanced technology is definitely far from perfect. I would have to wonder if the robot actually "attacked" the worker or if the worker was in the wrong place at the wrong time kind of thing. In any case, the number of deaths seems too high!

Getting attacked by a robot sounds like a horror movie, but I know it's not. It's sad when people can't trust their working conditions.
Your food all looks good.
Yesterday for breakfast I had Bran Flakes and a banana. Lunch was cottage cheese, mashed potatoes, and salmon. Snack was a slice of applesauce raisin cake and a piece of divinity.
3 days to New Year's Day.

This is really scary to hear that robots will attack humans, it is like something out of a Science Fiction story. It would be even more scary if robots were being deliberately programmed to attack certain people.

That's not good! Programmers need to get on that immediately so the mechanisms can distinguish humans from parts. As for meals, I had pancakes for breakfast, malted milk balls in the afternoon, I finished off my angel hair bolognese for supper and then had an ice cream bar for dessert.

Nice meals. The lunch was best.
The Robot cases show that full automation doesn't comes without any cons.
Safety measures are very vital in such factories.
