Do you have holiday leftovers to eat?

On Christmas Eve, I made a small ham, a broccoli rice and cheese dish..salad and rolls. I have alot of everything left except the ham. I wanted to feed some to friend last night..because even though we had a late lunch, we didn't get home until after 7 and wanted something. He only ate a couple of cookies though so I have the rest of the food here. I guess I will be having it for awhile. I don't have that much ham, but I like make scalloped potatoes when I have it leftover. What is the situation with your leftovers?

I made some broccoli soup over the weekend, and when I went to take some out to have for my lunch, it smelt poorly and I had to throw the rest of it out. There was not much left. We have quite a bit of ham leftover actually, and quite a few dinner rolls as well as a pumpkin pie. There were sweets leftover, but because I have been sick, my hubs thought it best to throw those out this afternoon. We are trying to get rid of the germ and anything that was around during that time. I got sick on Christmas Day and it has been all downhill since then. Today I took the day off from work to rest and this afternoon I began to feel a bit better.

@snowy22315 Yeah, and I'm still sick, although I feel remarkably better today after the extra rest that I got from spending so much time in bed sleeping. I just have to be really careful not to lie down for too long as I fear that my lungs will fill up with fluid, that's happened enough times.

I had a Christmas potluck with my dad's family so everyone took their own leftovers home. There wasn't much left with eighty people there. Although, I would have liked to have taken some of that food for myself. It was just so good!

@snowy22315 We met at a church one of my cousins pastors. Five of my aunts and two of my uncles also attend that particular church. The fellowship hall is fairly big.

I wish I could give you some of our ham leftover! Ours was a teeny ham which I experimented with . . . it was good but we just don't eat a lot of ham. We had turkey leftovers from Christmas Eve (just us - a mini Thanksgiving type meal) - so earlier I made soup out of what's left.

Yes, we have many leftovers. But I can only watch others eat them because I have some digestive problems. I can't eat anything.

We didn’t have much ways to cook so we don’t have many leftovers from Christmas. We have lots of cookies that were given to use though by my husbands mother. They probably would be gone by now if my stepson wasn’t at his mother’s.

Sister brought up to the gathering.a big platter of Italian cookies they had won somewhere. I had one..it was really good. There was a map with the cookies like with a Whitman sampler to inform people what they were.

@jstory07 I don't know if it is still there, but they used to have a restaurant in Richmond called Ribs, Rolls and Cheesecake. You know I had to check that out!

Leftovers inside my relatives home are eaten the next day. The remainder of the leftovers inside the house are then given as food for the stray dogs outside to eat for dinner.

We didn't eat a big meal on Christmas as we did, or rather over-did, eating on Thanksgiving this year. I didn't have to get inventive with the leftovers this time around. But I always do enjoy them!!
