This is a story about what happened when a small group of people started an elite new school in 1871. The school was supposed to focus on the education for wealthy young ladies. This establishment was run by a man named Samuel, his daughter Caroline and another teacher, David. Several weird things happened during the course of the story. The first strange thing to happen was the arrival of some very rare birds that turned up just before the school opened. Then, a short time after the first few pupils arrived, one of them started showing symptoms of an unknown illness. After a while all the girls and Caroline began to suffer from this strange new illness. Samuel did not want to inform the girl`s families because he did not want anyone to know about the illness at the school. So he called in one of his friends, who was a doctor , to diagnose what was wrong with the girls and treat them in secret. Unfortunately, Samuel made a bad mistake when he let this `doctor' treat his pupils.

Despite the unexpected challenges, it's heartening to see the school community come together. Here's to hoping for a swift recovery and a return to feathered friends without any surprise medical mysteries...

This was only a work of fiction and not a real school. I expect that similar schools were open at the time in real life. The school was trying to focus on teaching young ladies to think for themselves instead of just teaching them social graces so that they could get a husband when they were old enough.

@lazydaizee Embracing the narrative's spirit, cheers to the empowering notion of teaching young ladies to think for themselves. In both fiction and reality, it's a reminder of the importance of fostering independent minds.
