What are you expecting this year?

I feel like I’ve entered 2024 in a great place. I’m actually happy, and I certainly didn’t expect that when the year first started. I’m so thankful for my family, loyal friends who bring me joy, and getting to know several Mylotters better. Sure, some bad stuff happened in 2023, but I think I learned lessons with each situation. I was talking to my friend, Dominique, this morning, and told her I thought 2024 was going to be a great year for us. I’ve had many bad years in the past, so I appreciate every moment of genuine happiness.
What are you expecting for 2024? I hope for all those struggling you find some light along the way, and for those doing well, that you continue to feel as content as you are now.

Nothing. Expect nothing and you won’t be disappointed.
Wishing you the best in 2024!

Karen, I'm extremely disappointed that you expect nothing for 2024. Now see what you did...you made me start off my year in disappointment!

I'm looking forward to this year, I am so grateful that I lived long enough to see the benefits of technology. In my day it was unheard of.

Happy New Year Amber!
What am I expecting for 2024? Well, honestly....a lot of bickering and fighting and hatred because it's an election year. Well at least that's what I'm expecting for our country. Personally, I always expect to have a great year every year, and for the most part I usually do (I'm always optimistic! lol). I just returned from vacation, so once I have a chance to catch my breath and catch up on sleep, I'll sit down and develop my goals for the year. I always do that at the start of the new year instead of resolutions.

@AmbiePam One of my goals this year is to only engage in constructive dialogue with people who have opposing political viewpoints to mine. We all need to understand that our “side” can’t always get everything they want, and we have to return to the days when compromise was an acceptable solution for all parties

@AmbiePam Knees are much harder than hips. I had a tough time with my last knee surgery.

We never know what the future will hold, but hopefully a return to better days economically, where I can find products to buy that does not stretch my budget. I also hope more Americans are wising up to what is happening at our borders, the continuing crime in our cities, the deterioration of our schools, the leniency of our justice system, and the woke ideology that has destroyed our many of our values people hold dear. If that happens and leadership in Washington DC is changed that would make for a better year than the last three. But no expectations. Some people prefer to be told what to believe rather than to think for themselves.

Expecting? Not going to try to expect anything....I get disappointed easily which leads to depression. So not going to have any expectations. Of course, I do have lots of wants lol
Hope that it will be a great year for you, well and for all of us of course!

@AmbiePam I haven't let myself really deal with things yet to be honest...just kept with the feeling of it doesn't seem real even though I know it is.
Thank you... I hope too

I don't know if ''expecting'' is the right word for me. In my case, I'm hopeful. For more reasons than I can say, I remain hopeful for better health for my son and for myself. There's more, but hey...that's the two most important right now.

I really should have used the word hopeful. Because I also expect hardships, but I AM hopeful for good things. After so many years of no hope at all, I’m just grateful I can see it that way.
And, I’m so glad you are maintaining hope as well. You and your son deserve answers, and I will be praying for you both.

I am so glad that you are hopeful. It's a very hard thing when a person loses hope. Chronic pain has a way of wearing down the body, soul, and spirit.
Hope....and the 'never give up' thing, and 'let all I do be done out of love'....it keeps me going. Keep on, Amber. I truly wish the very best for you.

I think it is all in one's mind. If one has the determination to wade through whatever that is happiness will be guaranteed. Happy New Year to you

I don't know what I'm "expecting", but I am hoping and praying things will happen this year and waiting on God's timing.

I'm looking forward to the new year but I don't have any specific expectations. I'm just happy to get up each day and thank the Lord when I open my eyes.

I am expecting to stay healthy and meet my financial goals for my eBay business in 2024. I am quite disappointed that I didn't reach my eBay goals in 2023. But it's a brand new year...hurray!
