A colourful toilet seat

We have done quite a bit of house-sitting recently and it’s been interesting to have a little peek at how others live their lives, how they furnish their houses, what kitchen appliances they have, etc. I mentioned the last house was full of shabby chic furniture but I don’t think the lids of the toilets could be described in that way. They were certainly colourful but I’m not sure I’d choose them for myself. What do you think?

Oh, my... they got the colors of the rainbow in the wrong order... it's ROYGBIV

You just can't trust people nowadays - not even with simple things like the colours of the rainbow! lol

I’d pass on that one. It certainly makes a statement though!

@JudyEv The place to have fun is in the bathroom.

@AmbiePam Fair enough - and a good statement for any room really.

I am sure I would not choose that toilet seat for myself. Too much colorful.

There were two toilets in the house and both had these same seats. Perhaps they got a 2 for 1 deal.

@JudyEv I suspect they had a 2 for one deal on those seats.

Toilet seats look good in white. Easy to clean than the colourful ones.

Quite possibly. Certainly you don't see too many coloured ones.

@JudyEv Yes, in India we don't see colourful toilet seat and cover.

@JudyEv It may be bright, but in my house it would be tossed in the trash. lol

At least it's not 'common'. I've seen ones with sea scenes - shells, fish, etc - but I don't like them much.

@JudyEv Where cleanliness is important less the colour better it is to know if it is cleaned well.

I would not want that toilet. Just a plain seat to sit on.

Certainly people make some choices that I would never make. I hope it has made me more open-minded now.

I guess most of us are used to our white toilets - or at least pastel-coloured.

Quirky is about the right word for it. I've seen seats with underwater scenes on them and they're even worse! lol
