The Philadelphia Department of Health has confirmed 8 cases of measles as of yesterday. All confirmed cases are among non-immune individuals; and at least 3 of the cases have required hospitalization. The United States declared measles an eliminated disease as of 2000; but outbreaks have increased due to immigration of unvaccinated persons, COVID disrupting the vaccine schedule and hesitancy over getting the measles vaccine due to the false assumption that the vaccine causes autism.
This week is going to be a real challenge weather-wise for millions of Americans. Be safe out there and stay home if you can.
71 days until spring.
Breakfast - Protein bar
Lunch - Meals on Wheels - Fish sandwich, seasoned fries, coleslaw
Dessert/Snack - Blueberry muffin and decaf coffee
Dinner - Yogurt
What did you eat yesterday?

I see you updated your days until spring.
It's sad to see so many cases of measles. I thought it was eliminated too.
Your meals look good.
Yesterday was another breakfast day. Breakfast was bananas in milk, and Raisin Bran. Lunch was a cheese omelet and baked potato. Snacks were trail mix, red grapes, and Dove DC Promise. I did well on the scale yesterday. I haven't checked it yet today, but the calories were good. So the scale should be too.

The weather was crazy today, but don't want to be forced to stay home because of it.
Fish sandwich sounds good, I had that on Sunday myself.

@LindaOHio We got a big storm today. We have a high chance of more through Saturday. Tuesday I think our high is in the mid 20s. Still very cold, but not as bad as 12. Depends on the wind chill, could feel a lot colder.

I love your picture. People get all kinds of ideas about vaccines that are not true. Also, on rare occasions, vaccines do not accomplish immunity.

It's disturbing when old diseases come back and new ones keep showing up.

People are nuts with this not getting vaccinated stuff. They don't seem to have any respect for science. Yesterday, ham and scalloped potatoes as mentioned yesterday..cereal, and bagel and cream cheese. various fruits and veggies.

I wasn't happy to hear about the outbreak of measles.
Today it's snowing/sleeting then turning to heavy rain and high winds. Good day to catch up on some tv or read.
Last night we had ham, sweet potatoes, turnips and broccoli.

The vaccine doesn't cause autism. I think it is a myth. I had bread and tea for breakfast yesterday. rice and meat for lunch. Pancakes and tea for supper.
