Is She Pregnant?

Lord help me. Now, I have been known to make an interesting concoction or two in the kitchen from time to time. But I like to think what I make, however weird some of the combinations, at least have some semblance of "normal."
Yes. I put the word normal in quotes intentionally.
My wife made a snack of waffles. Oh, but wait. It gets better. She slathered garlic aioli on those waffles. Not grossed out yet? She then put AVOCADO on her garlic aioli waffles.
Are you KIDDING me?
I KNOW she's not pregnant. She can't be. Age and menopause and all. But really. Why on Earth ELSE would she eat a concoction like this?
Perhaps she has been with me too long. WAY too long. This is alien food. Even the cats were like, "Nope. All yours."
@NJChicaa, if you don't puke face this, Imma slap you. Don't you DARE stick up for her. ![](/Content/images/emotes/rofl.gif)

I can see bleu cheese in eggs. I have used feta before and it has a similar consistency. I wouldn't say I particularly liked it. But it doesn't sound "odd" to me. Really, even with this concoction, she really lost me at the waffle. The combination of garlic aioli and avocado doesn't strike me as particularly weird. lol

To me, blue cheese and eggs go well together.
I'd definitely eat that.

Because she felt like having that's no different than toast or bagel just a different amount of flour. If she likes it who cares. It was her yum. I've watched my 9-year-old dip french fries into oatmeal.

@porwest nah! I like my waffles which are just chocolate chips or cinnamon. But it was hard of a jump for me to make the correlation between the foods.

@ShyBear88 I suppose on the bright side they were just plain waffles. Sometimes she has blueberry ones in the freezer and I think that with the other combination certainly would have been much worse. Or maybe not. Who knows? lol

That does look odd. But, it doesn't look really bad. I wouldn't mind trying it.

Like @ShyBear88 kinda said, the wife told me it was just like having avocado toast or an avocado bagel, just with a waffle instead. I guess it works. lol

People generally don't put aioli on waffles.

Waffles in and of themselves are a bit sweet so this would be a sweet and savory snack. Amazingly, less people were disgusted by this than I thought would be and many people said they would like to try it. The more I think about it now after the fact, maybe this isn't as weird as I thought it was. lol

Didn't you ask her for a bite out of curiosity? Sweet and savoury can sometimes work well and it's not the weirdest combination I've seen. (I'm British, banana sandwiches are a thing).

Sorry, but I am all for strange concoctions. I even enjoy pickled hot peppers with slices of chocolate cake,

From the Holy Book of Kitchen Rules: "If thou maketh non-complementary concoctions, thou shalt be denied compliments". See, even the cats understand this rule
.
Perhaps she was exploring a novel way to clean out the fridge, but I would still hesitate to enter her for a cooking competition though.
