The Leopard

After a few months into our painting session, we got to paint this op-art coulourful Leopard. The techniques are very different from any other artwork we had done already, but what I enjoyed the most was that I could use the colours I favoured as the background BEFORE adding all the Leopard's features in BLACK. Before we started adding the black to the Leopard painting, the canvas looked like a colourful sprawl made by a messy child . . . . and then it transformed into a Beauty. We have done a few other animal faces and features, but this one is my favourite. Thank you for reading and viewing my painting. Tonight we have the first Sip&Paint for 2024 and I am excited to see what our instructor has on the canvas for us to try. Chat later.

I find this beautiful, you can perfectly see the leopard and it blends with the rest of the canvas.

That is really clever and represents just how a leopard blends into the landscape. And I love the colours!
