How many people start their day real early so they can accomplish a lot before work.

Every day I wake up and I try to get as many things done before work. Some days I just roll out of bed and eat and get dressed and off I go. Most days I have two hours to do things so I do as much as I can as fast as I can. My days off are just not enough. I end up spending one day playing catch up on things I couldn't do during the week. Laundry and food shopping. Then housecleaning which never gets finished. There are many times something pops up and at least one of my days is used up by a doctors appointments or bringing the car to get work done. I keep thinking there should be more time in a day. If I stay up late when I get up early the next day I am in a fog. I get nothing done. I am too tired to do anything. I am fifty-nine and I need at least six hours sleep. When I was younger I use to do a lot more and have even less sleep. If this happens to you have you found a way to do more? I would love to know your secret?

Great idea but I work the second shift and go to bed about 3:00 every day. I try to get up by 9:00. It is a working progress, How many hours do you get for sleep?

@LadyDuck Are you enjoying your retirement? When you did work was it a 9 to 5 job? So your hours haven't changed much.

I can't get up before 8:00am! I get up at 8:00am on Tuesday's and Friday's if I'm going shopping, and on Sunday's if I'm going to Church. I get up at 9:00am on Monday's, Wednesday's and Thursday's and on Saturdays I don't get up till 10:00am!

@Itsonlyadream Thank you very much. If I need to do any sorting or if I want to do any drawing I usually do it in an afternoon, except for Wednesday when we go to the big Tesco in the afternoon. Then on Thursday I'm painting when my Mum and step-dad are out at the luncheon club.
I've got my deposit ready for this Summers Seasons Art Class and I will be posting it tomorrow when I go to the big Tesco. I went last year. This year I'm hoping to go with my friend Yasmin as long as she hasn't forgotten! She hasn't mentioned it in a while. Then I won't have to phone for a taxi to take me.

I found busy people make time for everything. I am always doing a juggling act to fit things in. I love that you have certain days for the things you love to do and then get to sleep a little later for the rest of the week.

It is better for you to get up early and get things done, rather than lying in bed thinking about what you have to do. I have heard that you can get things done faster in the morning because you have more energy than later in the day.

I think your right. Later on we can easily get tired from doing other things and we run out of stamina and power. Early in the morning you have later distractions where other people might influence what you do or don't do. Thanks so much.
