When I went to the library earlier this week I took out about six books to read. One of them is The Silent Ones by K L Slater. It is not a new book because it was published in 2019, but I had not read anything by this author before so I thought I would give it a try.
The story begins when two ten year old girls are suspects in a crime where an old lady has been assaulted. When the girls are taken into police care , they will not speak to anybody at all. You can tell that there is somebody else behind it all , but the police have to find out who and why they would do such a thing and let two young girls take the blame.

It was a bit of a slow burner to start with , then things livened up. I sort of guessed the ending but I got the wrong person.

Unfortunately this sort of crime does happen in real life.

It sounds good. There is one on Amazon I would like to read called The Silent Patient.

I'm not big on mysteries. I hope you enjoy the book. Have a good day.

I like mysteries because I like to guess the ending even though I am often wrong.
