Our latest acquisition

When we were at my brother-in-law’s place the other day, Vince was very taken with his thermometer. We need to ‘keep up with the Jones’ – or in this case the Evans, so we have a cute thermometer too. The big figure at the top is the outside temperature and the lower left figure the inside.
The sensor device sits outside under the patio and the thermometer is on the kitchen bench. It tells us both the outside and inside temperature. Also gives us the humidity and the ‘outdoor index’ whatever that is.
We have our air-conditioner set to 26C and the thermometer gives the same reading. Which it should of course but it’s nice to have it confirmed that the air-conditioner is accurate. It's 7.15am and already 29C. Another hot one today.

It was chilly here; but the rain gave way to sunshine in the afternoon. Hubby has a clock that gives him just the indoor temp. Yours is nice. Have a good weekend.

I just check Yahoo Weather when I first log on in the morning and then promptly forget about it until the next time...

We are actually on our third such device.
The first 2 had that exterior portion had to be fastened to a board on the side of our rear deck.
That was due to the wind, we didn't want it to get knocked around from the wind, and it also had to be a certain distance from the house. Technology has changed them for the better.
We can also change ours from C to F which is handy.

Something to keep you occupied and reassured, or alarmed if the outside temps get very hot.

It's just nice to know how hot it is outside. We have something to ooh and aah about.

@JudyEv And, this is useful information. Suppose we need to go out, we know what kind of clothes we should wear.

I have one in my bedroom that tracks the inside temp and humidity..It seems to differ alot from the living room as so many windows in there.

That is a nice barometer, I see you have degrees in Celsius like we did in Latvia, Took me awhile to get used to Fahrenheit again,
