Since I posted so late yesterday, I have no new news about hubby except that he still requires a sitter so he doesn't get out of bed. I couldn't call him because his phone doesn't amplify your voice, even when it's set to high. Hubs can't hear me. When he gets to rehab, I will make sure he has a phone.
Monday I should find out more about whether or not they were able to find a rehab facility for hubby. I hope it's close by.
I still am having difficulty dealing with being alone.
Thank you for your continued prayers, thoughts and concern.

I know how scared it can be if you lose your best friend
& being alone it's not something easy to deal with, but
there may come a time when you are all alone in life.
I've been trying to deal with that my whole marriage
of 37 yrs & it's not easy to face what may happen 1 day
but I keep thinking about what would I do if I lost my husb.
I think I'd just put myself in a assistant living place & live
what life I have left to live, cause I have no family & there's
no 1 I can trust or deal with to live with, so that's my plan.

@LindaOHio If you can move in together you may find it quite nice.

@GardenGerty The hardest part would be cleaning out a house with 50+ years of accumulation.

Thank you so much, Karen. Didn't hear anything today; so she must not be having any luck.

Can the VA give him a rehab room? I know you’re miserable. My aunt said that, when I stayed with her, she was so much more content even though I was in the basement doing my own thing. She said it was just the “knowledge” that I was there.

@LindaOHio — I’d suggest that you give the nearest hospital a call and talk to patient advocacy, just to see what they can (or can’t) do.

Yup. There are days I rarely see my husband; but I know he's in the Florida room. I don't know about the VA.

@FourWalls I may do that if I don't hear from the lady that's working on getting him into rehab.

Does he have a hearing problem? Or he just cannot hear now for some reason?
I hope someone can help you to do things.

The phone is a piece of crap. When people call in from outside, you can't hear them even with the volume turned up.

It's tough being alone when you get used to having a company. Do you have any close friends you can talk to?

Hugs, it is hardest on the weekends, I bet. You know that nothing is really happening. I know VA told Bob he was going to a rehab on a Saturday, which did not work out, then they said Monday, then they kept changing the time. Like your husband, he was very confused, and it made him angry. People do not do well in those circumstances. I hope they find a nearby place and that they make the move smoothly.

@LindaOHio - Some places are like hotels, while others are really poor looking places.

@LadyDuck I've seen ones that are horrible. They smell of urine and are dark and dingy.
