12 February - What I'm Thankful for Today

Good evening from Green Bay, Wisconsin, USA. It's starting to cool off. My computer says 33 F. Alexa said it would get down to 24 F tonight. I have so much to be thankful for today. I'm thankful I got the laundry done this morning early. I had it in the washer by 3:30 and done by five. I got it all folded, hung, and put away almost right away. I'm thankful I got the bedroom cleaned and dusted today. So, my whole apartment went through a deep cleaning. I'm thankful I could improvise when I found out what I bought last October. My menu was filet mignon, glazed carrots, cheesey garlic mashed potatoes, lettuce salad, and apple crisp with French vanilla ice cream for dessert. They took the ice cream home. They loved every bite. I am so thankful it turned out so well. I'm thankful my pastor and his wife came to dinner. They are wonderful people. I took them on a tour of the building, showing them the various lounges and how different they each are. We interrupted a game of corn hole in the community room. It's game night. I knew there was a game night. Now, I know which night it is. I'm thankful I could spend as much time here as I could with you today. As always, you are a big part of my day. I love visiting with you in your part of the world, and even praying for your needs. That was my perfect day. They even helped me clear the table and the dishwasher is going for the third time today.
