Just to Make Heads Spin and Stir the Pot...Again

I mean, let's look on the bright side. Ever since I made my beer battered fish fry, which I needed eggs for and finally had to cave and buy some despite the price, this is the second time I have had scrambled eggs for dinner.
I know, as per the usual, the ketchup will be the main issue here. But I like it, and so does my wife, so we put ketchup on our eggs.
It is what it is.
For this batch I cut up some of the leftover smoked cheddar sausage links we had along with some onion and green pepper. I tossed that all in to cook and then added my beaten eggs, and the some shredded cheese. Yummy.
For the crinkle fries on the side I decided to whip up a quick little horseradish sauce. My combination for that might turn heads as well considering I used Miracle Whip to make the sauce.
Does that make this post a double whammy? What went on your dinner table last night?

Everyone in my family puts ketchup on eggs so no issue with me.
We also mix mayonnaise with ketchup to make a dip for our fries.

That looks really good. I put jam on my eggs so I am sure that would be an issue for some people. For dinner I had pancakes and sausages.

Sweet and savory does work. Jam would not be my thing, personally. But there have been times when I have had eggs and sausage links on my plate, and I like to put pancake syrup on my links, that the two run together, and it doesn't ruin the eggs at all.

I can never remember from one night to another. How about I tell you that tonight we had meatloaf and baked sweet potato. Blueberries with yogurt, and then for a snack we had rice pudding.

My cousin puts ketchup on his eggs all the time but never heard of anyone having French fries with eggs but it is a form of potatoes though.

I was just going to say. It's a potato thing. Hash browns, fries, fried potatoes, tater tots, tater patties...I think all of them go with eggs. I even sometimes put potatoes in my scrambled eggs. But yeah, we like ketchup on our eggs and so we do it quite a lot when we have them. I only ever put ketchup on my scrambled eggs though. Never on fried, poached, hard boiled or on an omelet.

@porwest @MarieCoyle We only buy them when they're on special. Usually lamb is too expensive although sometimes if you cost out a roast per serve then it's not too bad.

I saw some really good looking lamb chops the other day for sale, $17.99 per pound. No, thanks!

I enjoy ketchup too especially on egg and chips. I also add it to some sauces. Your dinner looks really nice. We had chicken with potatoes and vegetables, homemade bread and butter pudding for afters.

Honestly it all seems fine to me. I would not ever put ketchup on eggs, but that's a matter of personal preference. I often make vegetable omelets with chopped tomato in them, so it's not really that much different, I am just not a fan of ketchup itself. As for Miracle Whip, it's personal preference. Some in my family like it, some prefer Duke's or Hellman's. I don't put it on a sandwich, just because I guess? I prefer mustard.
It's not classed as a mayo since it has no eggs in it. I have no issues with the taste, it's good. It's that high fructose corn syrup I am not liking!

@MarieCoyle I can understand the ketchup thing in a way. I can't stand peanuts, but I love peanut butter. Go figure. lol

I honestly try very hard to avoid the high fructose corn syrup, or anything ending in ''ose'' as I have been told by several doctors that those products are terrible for our health. Many other countries have banned it from their products. Nasty stuff.
I also think it's sort of funny that so many people say, eww, tomatoes are nasty...as they pour a large portion of ketchup on everything on their plates!
