Goddess Saraswati is worshipped by Hindus as Goddess of wisdom.

In India the majority of people are Hindus. For them Goddess Saraswati is the Goddess of wisdom. From students to educators, from musicians to artists, from filmmakers to instrumentalists all worship Goddess Saraswati on Saraswati puja. They expect the blessings of Goddess to do well in their fields. The Goddess is offered sweets, fruits and flowers and mantras are chanted for the puja.

there are separate mud artists in Bengal. They are called kumbhars. They use the soft mud. Then after giving shape they dry them under sunlight. Then they paint them.
