I generally feel safe in my apartment, especially with Kitty around. She has sharp claws, and when she yawns, I see her sharp teeth.
Last night, I had a chance to see her in action. She was sleeping near my bedroom stereo. I was asleep in my LL Bean sheets.
Through my dreams, I could hear Loud Kitty meowing outside. Loud Kitty is her new friend.
Then I didn't hear Loud Kitty. I heard the tinkling sound of dry food against her food dish. But it didn't sound like Kitty. She picks up a bite, drops it on the carpet next to the food bowl, and gobbles it up.
As my eyes adapted to the darkness, I saw Loud Kitty, (almost) silently eating Kitty's food. I looked at Kitty. She did not wake up.
I hissed at Loud Kitty and he ran off. Then he started meowing outside, maybe 30 feet away.
Half-an-hour later, exactly the same thing happened. I looked at Kitty. She may have raised her head for a second before falling back asleep.
I hissed at Loud Kitty and he ran off.
Then ten burly men came in and took all of my guitars and tube stereo equipment. Just kidding.
Maybe Kitty should consider modeling.

What a watch cat ................ You know there are some cats that can pose a real danger to burglars or strangers that enter their territory especially if there's a tall book case or something near the entrance and they jump on a persons head.

Maybe kitty was just tired and decided to share her food.

Freddie and Tish could give her lessons. Even when one of the downstairs cats winds up on my porch and tries to get into the apartment Tish is there in front of them hissing and spitting and of course, they head back downstairs. One cat a real sweetheart who is gray and white came in while my two were sleeping. Freddie woke up and saw him on the counter. I had given him a bit of food since he was meowing. Freddie stayed below the counter watching him the whole time and after he finished eating I scooped him up and put him out the door otherwise Freddie would have had a fit, I mean these cats have even hissed at their biological mother, This is their kingdom and whoah to anyone who tried to intrude,

A few weeks ago, Susie (one of my four) had a puffed tail and was looking in the hallway. She was frightened by something. My mother thinks it was a skunk outside. Well all four cats were lazy on Sunday when a skunk sprayed our ac unit. The house smelled bad for hours. It's better now.
