Grayson tends to be more inquisitive of boxes and any place where he fits. We find him in the laundry net baskets, tucked behind the coffee pot, he jumps into closets, finds his way into boxes...
And the recycling bowl we keep near the door going into the garage where the main recycling bin is stored.
I am not sure what the fascination is for a cat, really. But I also could not resist taking a picture of him sitting in the bowl after I brought it back in after emptying it. He almost has a look to say, "I'm in the bowl. What of it?" lol
He's a kook, that Grayson. But you have to admit he's adorable as all hell.

Rule #1 of cats: it’s the cat’s world, and you’re just living in it.
And yes, he’s adorable!!!!

When I had cats, they acted in a very similar manner. For some reason, they had a fascination with cardboard boxes, and could always be found hiding or playing in them.

@porwest It’s all about stalking you so they can attack and eat you.

Yes, he's adorable. Cats like to sit in the strangest places sometimes. Have a good week.

Does he ever wear the bowl on his head lol? I don’t get why cats love cardboard boxes so much.

With all my cats it was a simple matter of having a tight fit for protection. The tight fit gave them protection of their vulnerable parts of the body, and whatever the attacker was doing, they couldn't get down to get the cat out of the area to complete the attack and kill the prey.
I get a huge kick out of Freya, when I can't find her I look in an empty small box and she is usually in there in a tight wad. She is well protected and whatever was trying to attack her wasn't able to reach any parts of the body that could be struck to kill the prey. It is hysterical to see a large cat scrunched up in a 6 inch square box. Or see her scrunched down in a 4 inch by a 5 inch rectangular canvas "box" that she really has to work to fit into. She makes the fit work, but you can't see how she can possibly be comfortable. Just like the critters we adopt (dogs and cats) will find the strangest places to hide, but they make the places work for them. (In reality the critters adopt us, they only let us think that we adopted them.) The best thing a human can possibly do for their critter room mates is to love the daylights out of them and spoil them as much as they can!!!!
Grayson is totally adorable, and one very smart cat!!! Keep him safe and happy and spoil him as much as he will allow. Petey and Freya send their kitty love and hugs, and tons of purrrrrrsssss.

Cats are funny to watch, but have their own addictive
ways about them, they know how to get your attention
if you really want to know about cats I can send a
nice video about how cats came to be a house pet.
The phenomenon photos of the cats in this video
is AWESOME, some great looking animals.
