Today's painting, a practice piece.

So today I pained a mini canvas black first, then I finished off the painting of the Abbey Ruins. There wasn't much to do to it, I just needed to add a little foliage. After that, I took the painting of the Abbey Ruins in to my bedroom to dry. Then I went to check on my mini canvas to check if the black paint had dried. It had, but it was patchy in places, so I went over it again with another layer of black paint. While that was drying again I made some videos to put up on YouTube, I had my lunch, put some recycle out, made myself some camomile tea and washed up. When the black paint was dry on my mini canvas, I got out my paints that came with my black canvases. They are actually metallic paints. First of all I drew another fish on the mini canvas. Then I painted what I thought could pass as a sea as a background behind it using a mixture of metallic cerulean blue and metallic white. Then further down I painted cerulean blue on it's own and at the bottom I painted cerulean blue mixed with black so it goes from light to dark downwards. I don't know if it's worked! I let that dry a bit, and then I painted the fish in metallic white. It seemed a bit anemic, so I went over it again. The fins however do look a bit transparent so when I painted those I didn't go over them again. I did get out some silver metallic and touch some of that on the fins and tail. And that's how far I've got. I will finish this mini painting, and then I will get on to one of the larger ones. I hope you lot are having a nice day. See you later. Byyee.....
