I have published a book two years ago base on my own interest. It took me about half a year to write it but spent one and half year to go through all the editing, proofreading and book cover issue. I finally have my first book published and found out it was only a big step and there are much more about marketing the book. It wasn't just involve a new budget and it involves how would you do it as well. Anyway, it was my experience and how about you? Share with us.

I am glad that you did it. I have not tried to publish my book yet. I am still trying to finish it.

It's good to know that you are still working on your book. Keep up with your good work. I am still working on my second book as well. The first one was easy to write but hard in the editing part. I thought I can finish the second one in a better way but as I have more expectation in my second book, it makes my second book harder as well. I think I have been facing a lot of distraction either from home and my own work as well. It really bothering my focus to finish my book all the time. I hope I can finish my book at least in writing by the end of 2024 and spend just the first half of 2025 in editing. Hopefully to see my book can be published in the summer of 2025. Anyway, hope doesn't put things into reality according to my own experience , I think I have to set up a schedule and give me some pressure to meet the deadline to get things done on time. It was so joyful to see a book published after all your hard work. I hope you can experience that feeling in the near future as well.

@wildlittlefan The content was finished, and we need it to be proofread. I am having a hard time finding an illustrator. I had talked with some of these people, but they stopped doing it after a few attempts. That is why I lost interest in publishing it. However, the people that I trained as medical professionals in Tajikistan are still using my modules. It would be great if I could publish it.

I wish I could write a book. I started to write it and I gave up after a while.

There will be sometimes you just feel like to give up in the process. However, if you can think of your vision or your goal to achieve something in life...... you will keep on doing it until it is done. Give up something is easy but hang on with your goal and target will be much harder. But when you finally get things done, you will be happy that you haven't give up during the process. Just want to share about my own experience.

You must be busy with something more important than write a book. That may not be a sad thing.
