My siblings and I experienced how strict our parents during our younger years. They turned to a lot less uptight during our university days. The only rule that we need to abide is not to have a serious relationship. It did not follow, of course. Any set of rules that you need to follow during your younger years?   Image Credit: wikihow.com

Submit to the evil and obey the Communist brainwashing, that's what my psychotic parents taught me.Thanks God,i never trust their nonsense,so i still have the hope to be redeemed by God.

I am sorry to hear that. At least, you have the ability to know what is right or wrong and what is best for you.

@choijungeon That is good that you have your own thoughts and didn't go by other people ideas

I had strict rules until I got married. I was not allowed to go out in the evening, they wanted to know with whom I was even in the afternoon if I was not in school. They checked our friends before letting us go with them.

If we cannot go back home early, we need to call them. If we fail to do so, we will have a long discussion or sermon.

@LadyDuck I must say that they are stricter with my younger sister. Thus, she always complains about this.

@Shavkat - NO way that I could go home later, they would have not let me go out anymore.

My parents were never strict. I don't remember them setting rules about relationship or anything else. It's a good thing to some people but it's quite okay for me since I am just at home most of the time. So the rule doesn't really apply to me at all.

When we entered our universities, they became more lenient. For the reason that they trust us to be more responsible for ourselves.

I think our parents want us to be safe as much as possible. Sometimes they appeared to be overprotective.

It is also the same thing here. We need to be obedient and follow their rules.

My parents always worried about us even we were grown adults. I guess that's what some parents do. They want to protect you and support you. I think we were aware of what was expected behavior wise from our parents. One rule was to be home for dinner. Of course, that one wasn't too hard to follow, lol.
