Preparing Another Quilt

My sewing room looks like it’s been swept by a tornado. Bits of fabric everywhere. It’ll only get worse, until I have everything tidied and put away.
I’m digging through my scraps of fabric, attempting to sort and put away as I go. My creativity tends to be messy, but well worth the effort when I’m finished.
This quilt was started just two weeks ago. It is all scraps. No new yardage will be used until maybe the final border.
The pattern is called “Blaze A Trail” by Pat Speth.
I’d love to say it will be finished next week, but I’m packing it away while I finish another project.

I’m a scrappy quilter. I find the matchy-matchy ones boring.

@Morleyhunt I was going to tell you which quilt is my favorite, but I had to give up, there were too many I loved. I saw why it's called Minnie's Quilt.

I do well at Tetris when it’s slow. As it gets faster my fingers are not nimble enough.

It is all scraps. The blacks are similar throughout. The “whites” are a mix of ivory, light colours and white…sometimes it’s the wrong side of a fabric to give me the correct shading. I thoroughly enjoy playing with my scraps of fabric.

That's looking very lovely. It's satisfying to be able to make something so pretty and not have to spend much on it.

I am frugal (aka cheap) and many of my quilts are quite inexpensive for me to make. The exception was the one photographed earlier this week. That one has been a labour of love and has probably been one of my most expensive quilts to make.

@Morleyhunt I remember it. I can imagine it would have taken a huge amount of work.
