Alston Ridge Elementary School Principal Niko Schutte found a way to get rid of a male turkey called Mister Tom who was bothering motorists in the carpool lane by chasing the animal by using an umbrella to chase the turkey away from school grounds on Tuesday. According to Cary Animal Control Service officer Beth Wilson said that the male turkey tend to be more aggressive during the springtime since they are looking to make love to females and start families. Beth has stated that the turkey has not been seen at the carpool lane at the school after Niko chased the turkey away since Beth believes that the turkey will now go to another part of Cary North Carolina to claim his turf now since people will have to use noises to keep turkeys away from them. I hope the male turkey will be able to find a female turkey somewhere else.

Lots of animals find umbrellas a bit frightening.

He looks a bit of a turkey chasing that turkey, perhaps, he should have just let the turkey gobble, and not frighten it away like that. It is not the role of a principle to be tackling turkeys. Otherwise, he could have just served it up for dinner that night to his fellow teachers. That would have got rid of it too.
