This was just before the big moon crossover, one minute before. I already noticed this white hue to the sky - you can see it right behind me. Camera exposure started getting weird. Everything dark-colored in the house looked extra-dark, and everything light, looked WHITE. Then 2 minutes later, our entire house turned black inside. I was not expecting this! Michigan wasn’t supposed to see much of anything. Ok, so what happens when you wear green (or red) during a full solar eclipse? You get covered in spots! Yep, looks like I got the whole solar system there.. all the planets reflecting off the green. NOT. Nothing happened. So I made something happen. Now I’m covered in planets and suns and moons. I will admit I was very surprised at how dark it got in the house. This was a lot of fun. Things are looking normal again, colors returning to normal, sun shining into our house with no shadows or darkness. 2024 Solar Eclipse over. We made it and we’re all still alive. Time to dance Date: Mon. April 8th Solar Eclipse Time: 3:13 pm - 3:45 p.m. The day the house turned dark

@Melanie_Marie thanks for the link. Great beat but not one I have heard before. Pretty much I am into many genres of music and oldies a great favorites of mine, I agree about songs they inspire many of my poems.

@RasmaSandra Love poetry. Songs are just poems with melody.

This is true, and you have accidentally led me to another song, My mind attaches almost everything to songs, it’s always done that. I just gave in to it already. No point in fighting it anymore. Haha Thnx @RasmaSandra How can we dance when our earth is turnin’….

We had 80%. My mother made a cereal box viewer and I saw some of it, but we did have cloud cover too.

Yeah the cloud cover can kinda mess with the view. Surprisingly, we had clear skies - (Michigan weather usually never cooperates) so I think that’s why we got such darkness in the house. My plan was to go outside and goof around with the eclipse and stuff, but it turned out to be a lot more fun INside the house because it got so dark and creepy. All my inside photos look almost black and white, mega-cool. Thanks Jess, glad you got to enjoy the 80%

I'd never experienced being in the path of totality before - one of the coolest things I've ever seen.

That was kind of cool. It looked cloudy for a while. Doesn't look like much happened.

Thanks Kayla, I managed to get this shot from our jacuzzi room. I just blindly held my cell phone up and turned my eyes away from the ceiling window.. and BOOM! Caught it. I think the sun was completely covered here, because it looks like the moon. And YES that’s how dark our house was during all of this. Will answer responses to my other discussion(s) later, I didn’t forget. I’m behind on EVERYTHING. Cuz this was fun.

The few eclipses I've seen have made the light quite eerie.

The only weird thing that happened lunchtime was that I lost internet connection for about five minutes before the internet connection was restored.

They said that might happen. I don’t know if it happened here because I wasn’t online, but the solar system does affect all kinds of things. My younger brother and I both had 2-day migraines right before the day of the eclipse. And we rarely get them. I thought I was going blind. Got scared and texted him, he told me to settle down cuz it was happening to him too. Thanks pizzaguy Let me know if you’d like a recipe for low-carb organic pizza crust.

Did some people actually fear it was the end of the world?

Heck yeah. People were making a big deal about it wayyyy in advance. Stocking up on food & water, getting their storm shelters all ready, etc. But you know what, in their defense.. they’re picking up on something. Our days really are numbered, as a species. Some can pick up on it, some cannot. This worldwide strangeness going on, the illnesses going up, both mental and physical, food quality is terrible yet prices are still rising, pandemic hit and took many people out, people are having trouble sleeping and they don’t know why, anxiety is going up and they don’t know why. I won’t get all evolutionary on ya, but our turn is almost over.. it’s just the way it works. We probably won’t see it, my niece will have to endure a lot of it :( Population already going down Thanks Kandase :) Nice to see you again
